The Whippet Club

 

The team, led by Helen Butcher, are all members of the Whippet Club and its Obedience Section, formed some 24 years ago. They are Helen, with PELYMA GENERAL GRIEVOUS (Domino); Debbie Simmonds with BOSMORE SMOKETREE; Jenny Shore with WHISTERFIELD SWEET WILLIAM & Sarah Connatty with SILKDANCE RED ADMIRAL BEG. The 2 reserves are Jessica Drewery with LUTHER (Luther) & Lynn Griffiths with PELYMA BUCKLE MY SHOE.

 

As you will see, the team comprises all ladies except their Team Manager, Rob Dunning. It was formed when the Whippet Club was invited to Crufts Obreedience audition in November 2014, but some of the team have experience taking part in a total of seven displays of Obedience training at Crufts over many years. They are very keen and excited to see how they fair against the other eleven breeds this year.

 

All the team enjoy competing in Obedience competitions. The Whippet will never be a high flying breed in the world of Obedience. It is not in their nature to want to work twenty four hours a day, but this makes the challenge even more worthwhile.
